► Itinerary 5 Days Marrakech To Marrakech South of Morocco high Atlas Desert Tours

Day 1: Marrakech – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Skoura Oases – Roses Valley – Boumalne Dades

We will pick you up at 8 am and then start off our journey by driving via the Tizi n Tichka mountain pass and the beautiful long series of Atlas Mountains. We will stop by Telouet and Ait Ben haddou Kasbah, a declared village by the Unesco as a world heritage site. It is used nowadays for filming location for numerous blockbuster movies and series like the HBO ‘s Game of Thrones.

We will also stop at Ouarzazate to visit the studios and the museum of Atlas studios. You will have lunch in the area. We will drive to Skoura. which is an extensive oasis of palm groves where a beautiful Kasbah is located called Kasbah Amridil.

We will pay a visit to Roses’ valley. The area is famous for hosting annual festivals celebrating the harvest of Roses in May. As we continue driving you will notice the change in sceneries, from the tall and long series of Atlas mountains to sand and mud castles dating back to the 17th century. At evening we will be found in the gorges where you will spend the night in.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Toudra Gorges – Tinjdad – Touroug – Erfoud – Merzouga

  After that you have breakfast we will move to another fascinating gorge , The Todgha canyon, high enough to reach 300 m, it is the favorite spot for adventures and hikers. You will have time to explore the marvel on your own and then we shall continue to Merzouga. We will pass by numerous Berber villages before arriving to the overwhelming dunes of erg chebbi. You will have supper in one the Kasbah near the dunes. Overnight in the same Kasbah.

Day 3: Merzouga Sahara  Erg chebbi Desert Tour 4×4

  After having breakfast in the Kasbah we will drive in 4×4 vehicles around the area, we will stop at Khamlia village, we will share a cup of tea with locals and listen to their Gnawa music. You will have for lunch a traditional pizza called the Medfouna ”stuffed pie” in Rissani. Later afternoon we will drive to Merzouga or Erg chebbi, which contains the highest sand dunes in Sahara. By sunset we will ride camels to the nomad camp where we will stay. We will make sure to stop along the way so that you could excel in your photography skill. We will have dinner with Berber music playing and the stars decorating the sky.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – Nkoub – Draa Valley – Agdez – Ouarzazate

Make sure to wake up and watch the stunning sunrise over the dunes. We will ride the camels back to the hotel so that we will freshen up and have breakfast. We will continue the journey to Tafilalt via Rissani which used to be the ancient capital of the current ruling dynasty. You will have lunch in Alnif. We will still drive by Tazarine, N’kob and Tansihkt before we reach Draa valley. You will have the chance to roam in the Ksours and Kasbahs of the region. By evening we will be found in Ouarzazate to have supper and sleep at.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

 Today after that we have breakfast we will drive back to Marrakech. On the way we will pay a visit to the architectural wonder Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. We will pass by the High Atlas Mountains before we reach Marrakech by evening.
