13 Days Tour From Marrakech

Your 13-day adventure begins with a scenic drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering panoramic views of Berber villages and terraced valleys. You will arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” where you can explore its ancient kasbahs and enjoy a peaceful evening in this cinematic desert city.

After breakfast, the journey continues south through quiet desert landscapes toward Foum Zguid. From here, the paved road disappears and the off-road adventure begins. You cross the vast desert plains, dry lakes, and rocky plateaus until you reach the remote dunes of Erg Chegaga, one of the wildest and most untouched dune fields in Morocco. Enjoy a camel ride and dinner under the stars in your desert camp.

This day is dedicated to fully experiencing the Sahara. Take a guided trek across the golden dunes, enjoy a traditional picnic in the middle of the desert, and spend time relaxing in the silence of Chegaga. You can climb the highest dunes, try sandboarding, or simply enjoy the serenity of the desert. Overnight again in the camp.

After sunrise and breakfast, you leave Chegaga through desert tracks that lead to the Drâa Valley. Passing through the oasis of Mhamid, you follow the lush palm groves north until you reach Zagora, a historical desert town famous for its caravan routes and ancient ksars. Overnight in Zagora.

Today is a full off-road adventure following the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally tracks. You will cross rocky hamadas, dry riverbeds, and remote desert landscapes until you reach the quiet and authentic region of Erg Ouzina. This area is known for its golden dunes, nomadic families, and peaceful atmosphere. Dinner and overnight in a desert lodge or camp.

After breakfast, the road continues through small desert villages and the expansive landscapes of the Sahara until you arrive in Merzouga, home to the famous Erg Chebbi dunes. You can relax at your hotel or continue exploring the surrounding oases, dunes, and scenic viewpoints. Overnight in Merzouga.

This day is dedicated to discovering Merzouga and its surroundings. You may visit the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music, meet nomadic families, explore fossil fields, and drive through black desert landscapes. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel ride across the dunes to admire the sunset. Dinner and overnight in a traditional desert camp.

Leaving the dunes behind, you head toward the spectacular volcanic region of Jbel Saghro. The landscapes change dramatically as you enter the valleys and gorges of this wild mountain range. Your destination is Bab n’Ali, famous for its twin rock pillars rising dramatically from the desert floor. Enjoy the peaceful environment and overnight in a local lodge.

After breakfast, the journey continues through remote mountain roads and scenic landscapes toward the Dades Gorges. Known for their dramatic rock formations, winding roads, and breathtaking viewpoints, the gorges offer some of the most striking scenery in southern Morocco. Spend the afternoon exploring and relaxing at your guesthouse.

Today you drive through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs toward the famous Amridil Kasbah in Skoura, one of the best-preserved fortresses in Morocco. After exploring the oasis, continue to Ouarzazate and then to the iconic village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the evening exploring its narrow alleys and ksar architecture. Overnight in Ait Ben Haddou.

After breakfast, you cross the High Atlas Mountains once again via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. The journey offers spectacular views and many opportunities for photos. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and check into your hotel. Free time to rest or explore the medina at your own pace.

This full day is dedicated to discovering Marrakech with an official local guide. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, souks, artisan workshops, and the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square. Learn about the city’s history, architecture, and culture. Return to your hotel for the night.
