Day 01 :

Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora

Depart early from Marrakech and cross the stunning High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). The winding mountain road offers breathtaking views of terraced farms, Berber villages, and dramatic scenery.

The first stop is at the legendary Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its striking earthen architecture and its appearance in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You’ll have time to explore the ancient alleys before continuing toward Ouarzazate, known as “the gateway to the desert” and home to Morocco’s famous film studios.

After lunch, the journey continues through the impressive Draa Valley, an oasis filled with millions of date palms and ancient fortified villages. The landscapes become more arid as you approach Zagora, the edge of the Sahara.

In the afternoon, meet your camel caravan and enjoy a magical ride through the dunes as the sun sets over the desert. Arrive at your Berber desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with mint tea and enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner followed by music and drumming under the stars. Overnight in a comfortable private tent.

Day 02 :

Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the desert, a truly unforgettable experience. After breakfast, ride your camel back to meet your driver and begin the journey toward Marrakech.

The road retraces the beautiful Draa Valley, offering several stops for photos of the palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Continue to Ouarzazate, where you can visit the Taourirt Kasbah or enjoy a coffee overlooking the old town.

After lunch, cross the High Atlas Mountains again and arrive in Marrakech in the early evening, marking the end of your short but magical desert adventure.
