Accompanied by an experienced nomadic team and a traditional camel caravan, you will cross changing desert scenery including golden dunes, vast dry plateaus, hidden oases, and remote caravan routes. The trek leads to the legendary Erg Zahar, known as the “singing dunes,” one of the most beautiful and untouched dune fields in Morocco.
This easy-to-intermediate trek includes around 3 to 4 hours of walking per day at a relaxed pace with regular breaks, making it ideal for families, beginners, and travelers looking for a soft adventure experience. Each evening brings a new camp in a different desert setting, offering magical sunsets, traditional meals, and peaceful nights beneath the Sahara sky.
The experience includes 4 nights in the desert:
- 1 night in a comfortable fixed camp near Mhamid
- 3 nights in traditional nomadic camps among the dunes, under tents or beneath the stars
Along the way, discover the authentic spirit of the desert through encounters with nomadic families, camel herders, and the timeless atmosphere of the Drâa Valley. Children can also enjoy optional riding camels during the trek.

Accommodation
The first night takes place in a fully equipped fixed camp located 10 km from Mhamid El Ghizlane, surrounded by dunes and far from crowds.
The camp includes a traditional hammam using well water heated by a wood-fired boiler.

- Or sleeping beneath the stars
Meals
