► Itinerary 5 days from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga desert:

DAY 1 : TRAVEL FROM FES TO DESERT

Our journey starts as we depart Fes and head southwards. We will pass by Ifran a very authentic and cozy city, often labeled as the Switzerland of Morocco. Its architecture resembles to the French during 1930s. we will also stop by Azrou’s Cedar forest to take pictures with apes and monkeys. You will have lunch in Midelt known for its large section of fossils, we will stop and watch the breathtaking views of Atlas Mountains.  We will drive past Ziz Oasis and other Berber villages. Later afternoon we will be found in Merzouga, in which we will have dinner and spend the night at one of its beautiful hotels.

DAY 2 : MERZOUGA EXCURSION AND CAMEL RIDE TO CAMP

After breakfast you will have a visit to the area of the desert to see the different faces of desert including El Khamlia to listen to Saharan Music the oasis, the village ,we continue to Rissani the first capital of dynasty Alouite, to see historical Kasbahs, The famous Market, you can eat the Local food Pizza Berber, back to the Desert, After rest with a mint tea the  guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the sandy dunes of the erg-chebbi, you will enjoy the beauty of the sunset on the camels, after 1 hour you will reach to the desert camp to spend night in a berbre tent. After watching the stars and listen to the Saharan Drums.

DAY 3 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TODGHA GORGE – DADES VALLEY

Make sure to wake up just in time to watch the beautiful sunrise! we will ride camels back to the hotel, have a shower and a breakfast. We will drive upwards to Todra gorges via Rissani, Alnif, have lunch in Todra gorges and then we will continue to the Dades valley; rich with escarpments. You will be served dinner and stay the night at a hotel nearby.

DAY 4 : DADES VALLEY- ROSES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH

The journey continues as we enjoy the first sight of morning in the dades valley. We will set off to Marrakech yet we will stop by many magnificent sites like the Kelaat Mgouna, the  Roses valley and the 1000 kasbah road. The last contains Kasbahs that date back to the 17th century. We will visit the Ouarzazate “the Hollywood of Africa” and if you are interested we could stop by the Cinema studios and museums. The next stop will be the famous Ait Ben hadou Kasbah. It is declared by the unesco to be a world heritage site, it was also the filming location for the HBO hit series Game of thrones. Later afternoon we will be found in Marrakech. We will make sure that you check in to your hotel.

DAY 5 : GUDIED EXCURSION IN  MARRAKECH

For your fifth day we will fully explore the beloved Marrakech, most tourists prefer stopping by Marrakech before they leave. This charming is the perfect combination of both modern and traditional Moroccan print, you could see that in its buildings in the ancient medina, you can start off by paying a visit to Jamaa el Fna square, a unesco worldwide heritage site. You can have a freshly squeezed lemon juice from the aligned dozens of shops, and then observe the snake charmers, acrobats, storytellers, musicians…. besides the square there are few recognizable museums like Dar sidi Said and Bahia Palace.

You can also visit the Saadain tombs and have lunch there before we steer again to the Koutoubia Mosque although non Muslims aren’t allowed to enter yet you still can marvel at the formidable architecture of the ancient civilizations. Late afternoon you can stroll down the streets of this fascinating city. You will spend the night in a traditional Riad.
